Aao Bhog Lagao Pyare Mohan (Bhog Aarti) Lyrics in English (Hinglish)
Neeche yahi paath Roman lipi (English letters) mein diya gaya hai, jaise upar Hindi mein hai — taaki jo bhakt Devanagari nahin padh paate, ve bhi poora paath kar sakein.
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Duryodhan ko meva tyaago,
Saag Vidur ghar khaayo pyaare Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Bhilnee ke bair Sudaama ke tandul
Ruchi ruchi bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Vridaavan kee kunj galee me,
Aaon raas rachaao mere Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Raadha aur Meera bhee bole,
Man mandir mein aao mere Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Giri, chhuaara, kishmish meva,
Makhan mishri khaao mere Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Sat yug treta davaapar kalyug,
Har yug daras dikhaao mere Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Jo koee tumhaara bhog lagaave
Sukh sampati ghar aave pyaare Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Aisa bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan
Sab amrit ho jaaye pyaare Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Jo koee aisa bhog ko khaave
So tyaara ho jaaye pyaare Mohan,
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Aao bhog lagaao pyaare Mohan…
Aao Bhog Lagao Pyare Mohan (Bhog Aarti) — Meaning in Brief
This devotional song invites beloved Mohan, a name of Krishna, to come and accept the food offered to him. It recalls how he gave up the dishes of Duryodhan to eat the greens at Vidur’s home, and how he relished the berries of the Bhilni and the rice grains of Sudama. The singer also calls him to dance the raas in the lanes of Vrindavan, and says Radha and Meera also call him to the temple of the heart. Dry fruits, butter and sugar candy are named as the offering. The song says that whoever offers such a bhog gains happiness and prosperity at home, and that the food becomes nectar and its eater is redeemed.
When to recite: It is sung when food is offered to Krishna (Mohan) as bhog.
