The devotee sings an aarti to Shri Banke Bihari, addressed also as Girdhar and Shyam Sundar, hoping to please him. Banke Bihari is pictured with a peacock-feather crown on his head and a beloved flute that captivates the devotee’s mind, and the devotee offers himself in adoration of that sight. The lyrics speak of the Ganga flowing from his feet, which has carried the whole world across, and the devotee longs to behold those feet. He is called the Lord of the helpless and the constant companion in sorrow and joy, before whom the devotee bows his head.
