नदी को भारत मे माँ का सम्मान दिया गया है, तथा नर्मदा नदी को माँ रेवा के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। यह मध्य-भारत की जीवनरेखा की तरह है। नर्मदा का निर्मल पानी एवं उसके कल-कल करते बहते पानी को शब्दों मे पिरोह कर एक बहुत ही सुंदर गीत निर्मित किया गया है।
